Mai-HiME 14

Another just… “whoa” episode. I’m tempted to do a nice long summary of the episode, but I’ll leave that for good old Matthew to do
I will, however, point out my personal favorite moments of the episode.
- HOLY S**T! I thought the priest dude died! Seem pretty implied before, but I guess the SEARRS Foundation needs a good spare henchman or two just in case.
- Mai’s scenes in the bathroom. Just how long was she there staying in front of the mirror before the troops came to capture her? I think I could have made a couple of cups of ramen and still have time to spare
- Kind of surprisedly how “well” everyone (non-important) took the whole SEARRS army coming and taking over the school. I don’t know about others, but I would be just a tad suspicious… and that whole virus BS just doesn’t work for me.
- I’ve gotten new respect for Miyu after this episode. Maybe because she was pretty kick ass in the episode. Or could be how devoted she is to Alyssa. But probably, it’s seeing her in that skin tight suit that did it! Looks PIMP as hell!
- Mai breakout via Mikoto was cool. period.
- If Shizuru Fujino isn’t an HiME I will re-enact Will Ferrell’s streaking from Old School. The way everything worked, they’re definitely implying Shizuru is an HiME I swear!
- Haruka has mentionable props when she let Yukino escape and when the tanks came, as noted by Momotato.
- Mikoto surprised me. Never thought Mai would ask her for life advice and actually give an answer that made a lot of sense. Mikoto just went up a bit on my favorite HiMEs scale
- Alyssa’s CHILD. Damn…. so… which CHILD has an orbtial space mode again?
- Underground base? I swear, you can find ANYTHING there. Wonder if the base as hotel-rated accommodations?
- So the cave that Mai and the others found in the earlier episodes… those holes on that rock cut. There’s 12 holes… hmm…. and when Mai, Natsuki, and Mikoto went back there again, one of the holes was full with an pillar. Akane isn’t an HiME anymore…. hmm….
Much to say, one can guess by the amount of screencaps alone that I loved this episode of Mai-HiME. Especially more so since it’s been two weeks and my Mai-HiME addiction was killing me
