GIRLS Bravo 2nd Season 13

Nude girls, kickass fighting, nude girls, yuri-ness, and more rounds out the end of GIRLS Bravo 2nd Season. By keeping true to GIRLS Bravo’s nature, the ending of the series left a smile on my face for many many reasons :)

… btw, just because you break out in rashes when touching the opposite sex doesn’t mean you have to close off the portal between two worlds. Nor does having lesbian tendencies mean you have to screw over every other woman in the world for your needs. Seriously, I think Hijiri and Yukina just need some big hugs!

Matthew is always 20 steps ahead of me anytime we blog the same series.

  • Fukuyama “taking one for the team”… LMAO! Any man would have done the same!
  • Everytime I heard those cute killer teddy bears, I kept thinking Bonta-kun from Full Metal Panic Fumoffu. Sousuke would have 0wned all of ‘em.
  • Ebi-chan and Risa… awesome.
  • Maharu rocks, period. There’s no question about that! Neo from the Matrix series would have been proud.
  • Totally kicking fight sequence between Hijiri and Kirie. Reminded me a lot of Jackie Chan’s fighting scenes from his various movies.
  • Fukuyama “saving the day” again with his new harem. Just rich on so many levels!
  • Man, Koyomi’s dad must be some martial artist to take out Hayate and Stacy so easily O_O
  • I knew if one just talked things over with to a slightly depressed, yet very cute girl with mysterious powers that everything will work out just fine in the end!
  • Yukina should have been added to the show sooner! She’s so kawaii~!
  • Kirie now has her own harem to deal with… 2 girls and 1 guy. lovely ^_^;;
  • Maharu never lets an opportunity pass her by… lucky Hayate?
  • I’m all for family bonding, but doesn’t Koyomi’s dad have his own place too?
  • Aya Hisakawa as Hijiri… never knew I would say this, but she needs to play more lesbian roles! :D

I’ll admit there were some cheese here and there, but overall the ending of GIRLS Bravo 2nd Season left me laughing and wishing for more. Nice how it actually accomplished something… sorta. More wacky characters were introduced plus the solidifying of Miharu’s and Yukinari’s relationship was a nice touch; Fukuyama being “cool” at times was also a nice added bonus!

There’s no doubt in my mind that the second season of GIRLS Bravo is far superior to the first season. I’m not only saying this because we got to see full nudity but because every episode in the second season was thoroughly enjoyable to watch. It would be too hard for me to say which episode was my favorite as each had its own unique charms ;)

I’m definitely happy how GIRLS Bravo turned out in the end with its rocky start in the first season which lead to an excellent second season, thankfully. I want to say “where is my 3rd season or OVA specials” but in reality, I rather the staff leave it as is. GIRLS Bravo ended well and there’s no need to ruin that!

If I wasn’t a poor man, I would have dropped the $400 for the 2 box sets of the R2 DVDs of GIRLS Bravo 2nd Season without blinking an eye. But since I can’t… I’ll just have to satisfy my GIRLS Bravo needs once TokyoPop releases the manga this fall!

well if it makes you feel any better, miharu isn’t as “dumb” in the manga if I remember correctly. Plus Yukinari is more a normal horny teenager in the manga than the anime. Either way though, manga or anime, it’s obviously Yukinari and Miharu no matter how much one might hate the pairing. The other girls are there just for fun, which has no complaints from me!

Hey Zim, next time you wanna diss a show you *might* want to be more constructive than “this show sucks.” And hey, if you don’t like it then don’t watch; no one is forcing you.

Personally I enjoyed the fun ride that was GIRLS Bravo. I don’t know what you were personally expecting out of the series, but I knew what the show was and what I wanted. A simple fanservice-ish comedy with good animation and favorable voice acting. Just because *you* did not enjoy the series does not mean others won’t. Maybe your standards are too high (if you think GB sucked, I fear to think what anime you consider good) but hey, everyone to their own right?

Just don’t be such an arse about it.

lovely “fact” Zim, truly. You have still yet to say exactly WHY the series was so bad. Good job presenting yourself as an Grade A idiot. All I can get from your “enlightening” comments are “I’M GOD! MY OPINION IS FACT!!!” You must win a lot of arguments and friends that way huh?

I could have handled whatever BS you might have preached if you had like, some examples or actual reasons for hatred. As I mentioned before, each to their own. But to just constantly say “THIS SUXS!” (my bad, you did say you hated Kirie but never exactly why) really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Whatever… go continue bad-mouthing the series like a grade-schooler, your comments alone tell how much “class”/”taste” you have.

Well, I hate Kirie because she’s a total bitch with a capital “B”, I mean what kind of “friend” knocks you into a bathtub simply for accidently walking in on them? personally, if were Yukinari i’d get a gun and shoot her fuckheaded-bitch ass

You want to know my reasons behind why I hated it so much, i’ll list them:

Not funny (Okay, so most animes aren’t funny, but this show takes it to a new level)
Horrible plot
Driven entirely on fanservice (I don’t mind fanservice, but not at THIS expense)
Said fanservice is heavily censored (With OR without the mist, this show sucks HARD)
90% of the characters are absolutely unlikeable (Especially Kirie)

Look here, Jackass, I mean Moyism I’m no “Grade A Idiot” as you claimed I was, My hatred for this show clouded my mind and made me unable to express why this anime sucks and why you’re a fucking idiot for watching it and finding it “funny”, By the Way, you obviously have the WORST taste in “humor” if you found this pile of dung entertaining

I waited endless nights without sleep for your reasons why GIRLS Bravo was so horrible in your godly wisdom. Thank you thank you for enlightening me on my lost way and my “horrible” taste! I shall forever follow you and your views on anime!

Seriously, fine. You hate the series. Good job. I’ll admit the series is pretty bad, but personally everything you mentioned is debateable. I mentioned it before, everyone’s tastes differ, so obviously people like yourself will hate it while others like me may enjoy it. I just hated the fact you went bashing without reason. I mean come on, how hard is it to list what you listed before? Even, as you mentioned, “clouded my mind and made me unable to express why this anime sucks” I find it unbelieveable if down-right impossible for anyone not to list an actual reason or two. Especially to take an FRICKIN’ MONTH to think about it.

And when it really really comes down to it, even if you and everyone else in the world hated the series as long as it was enjoyable for *someone* then I think the anime did its job. I mean, what were you expecting from the series? “Not funny,” fine. Your level of humor must be greater than most. “Horrible plot,” come on.. if you couldn’t figure out from episode 1 what the actual plot was… that’s just pitiful. “Driven entirely on fanservice,” thank you MR. OBVIOUS. “Said fanservice is heavily censored,” not really especially with season two. If the staff went any further, the series might have well just been an Hentai instead. Sure it was tactless but in my view that’s part of GIRLS Bravo’s unique charm. “90% of the characters are absolutely unlikeable,” given the series plot what were you expecting? IT’S A EECHI HAREM COMEDY SHOW FOR CHRIST SAKE! Most of the characters were bound to be archtypes of standard harem genre characters.

I can understand your bitching about the series but as I can see, the real problem is you were expecting a lot more from GIRLS Bravo than it actually was. Not entirely your own fault but it was easy to realize the true nature of the series within 2-3 episdoes. No one is forcing you to watch, and unless you’ve bought the actual DVDs without knowing, you could/probably have stopped watching then. Your own choosing if you “suffered” through the rest of the series.

To preach constructively is one thing, but to just go “IT’S SUCKS! CHARACTER A ROT IN HELL!” just ain’t cool. I mean, if I watched and hate some series you personally enjoyed, only to bash it with simple no reason shouts of “IT SUCKS,” “DON’T WATCH,” “I HATE THIS SHOW” I think you’ll be put-off too right? ‘Cause that’s how I felt with your comments. Really, it only takes a few more minutes to construct a better statement without sounding like an ignorant fool. Guess your time is too important for that huh?

BTW, I’m just so hurt that I’ve lost a reader on my blog and the attacks on my self. There will definitely be tears on the pillow tonight over such a great lost! And well, if I have the worst taste in humor then so be it; as long as *I* find it funny that’s all that matters. Who gives a flying fuck what someone online has to say.

… oh, good job on coming back just to reply. I wonder what that says about YOU if you’ve “wasted” so much time doing so.

Hey, All I wanna say is that i just came accross your blog and was suprised to find a blogsite that actually liked Bravo girls. A lot of people thought it was distastefull, but like you said moyism, everyone has their taste and I have to say from what I saw it was a very funny series. I liked the story and the fact that it was mostly fanservice was a big plus. it reminded me of hanauikyo maids series. well a least the rash part but i really enjoyed it. And to Zim, although i respect the fact that you don’t like the series that’s still no reason to go and insult the series by just saying “oh that series sucks nobody should watch it” becuase maybe you just didn’t comprehend the humor in this series. but like I said i respect you opinion and i hope we can agree later about another anime. but for now I agree with moyism. oh and by the way i know a lot of people who watch this series and actually like it.

Girls Bravo was truly Awesome all the characters were great. and although i think it could have been longer the 24 episodes. Who knows may they’ll make a 3rd season afterall they still make the manga.

I also wanted Kirie and Yukinaru together in the end. In season 1, there were a couple of episodes indicating her to be with him in the end and one even telling her not to give up because it can happen, and she still gives up. I care about the 1st loves always, and I always get sad watching season 1 because I think she deserved him.

Well Girls Bravo Ending was defenelty one of the best Anime endings i’ve ever seen with a bunch of new characters thrown in it leaves the show open for more but i guess with the 2nd season ending so well it’s wouldn’t be a good idea to make a 3rd season. But i still gotta say if any series deserves a 3rd season it’s Girls Bravo.

I’m going to make a season 3. In this, Koyomi and Lisa are going to be more important. Koyomi also happens to be my 2nd favorite Character, so she is going to be more important than Lisa. Koyomi also is going love SOMEONE which is not seen at all through out season 1 or 2. (I still don’t see why no one likes Koyomi or Lisa. Jeeze!)

Screw season 3. They should make a movie.

This whole show was a wacky zany thrill ride filled with boobs=}, innuendo, raw violence, touchy feely moments {as in sexual assualt and the aww kind} and of course……….. This series gets better everytime i watch it alot of friends of mine wonder which girl yukinari might pick and the anwsers usually miharu. but i don’t think Kirie, lisa, and yukina will give up him. afterall they would come to his house anymore if they didn’t think there was hope. plus it would be great to see a 3rd season to see how that would turn out. but if not that’s cool to cause the ending did leave Yukinari’s choices up in the air.
