Yakitate Japan 20

The end of Kawachi’s semifinals battle! The bonds of friendship are truly something to be awed.

End Games
I had to feel horrible for Kawachi! Never even getting a chance to truly battle thanks to Yukino’s scheme, Kawachi gave it his all up until the very last moments. I loved how Azuma came to defend Kawachi when the audience started to throw junk at him. Also Tsukino coming in to catch the unconscious Kawachi with him whispering his apologies for not winning… just moving.
Kawachi waking up in the “breasts” of Tsukino/the Manager however… LMAO.

Kuroyanagi’s reaction, even though I knew what it was going to be, was still hilarious to watch. His flashback to his last collge years with Cathy was puppy-love sweet. I throughly enjoyed Kuroyanagi reliving his last time with Cathy with the Meister (chu~). I don’t know what was funnier, the fact the Meister “easily” accepted Kuroyanagi’s way of life but didn’t think he’ll be a target himself or how Kuroyanagi “tried” to cover it all up. Just great comedy.
You’re not all evil…
Kanmuri showing remorse over Kawachi’s lost was a nice touch; just like the majority of the bakers Kawachi and Azuma have been facing off, Kanmuri is a decent guy. If only he wasn’t working for the bitch Yukino…
Suwabara… I just had to laugh at how he tried to cheer up Azuma with calling him out. The flashback scenes where Suwabara tried to re-invent himself was fitting with his character and was a needed break from the seriousness of Kawachi’s lost.
Go go go!
Azuma depressed, who would have thought it possible? Azuma’s depression helped show the strong ties everyone in the Southern Tokyo branch has with one another; especially between Azuma and Kawachi since they’ve been together from the start. Tsukino even crying with Azuma over Kawachi’s lost and saying it’s okay if he wants to stop was yet another touching scene. Awesome how Kawachi stopped them from going too deep in depression and remind them what they’re there for: To win.. not only for themselves (even if Kawachi now can’t battle against Azuma) but also for Tsukino and the store’s sakes!
