The higher deities decide to make Junpei their whipping boy by giving him both heaven and hell this episode of Ichigo 100% as one way or another, all the girls come to his place to chill. And as if that’s not enough excitement for Junpei, in the second half, the Film Club (including Kurokawa-sensei) go to the beach to film their first movie. Much to say, there’s a lot skin and fun in the sun! Also Satsuki’s and Junpei’s relationship moves one step forward and three steps back… sort of.

I could take the addition of Kurokawa to the group’s trip but could not understand why the staff decided to include Yui when everyone dropped by Junpei’s home. Plus I’m disappointed that they left out Sotomura’s Q&A of the girls where Junpei really sweat bullets over the type of guy the girls like. Animation as usual too added to my disappointment, yet for so reason I still enjoyed Ichigo 100% episode 5. I guess I should thank the magic that is the series and the hardwork of the seiyuu cast for picking up where the animation fails.

BTW, Junpei really needs a better hiding spot for his porn mags!

Satsuki Kitaooji! Satsuki Kitaooji! Satsuki Kitaooji!

Thank you whichever deities are listening for making Ichigo 100% episode 4 an good episode that showed off the coolness of Satsuki (VA: Sanae Kobayashi), but also the sexiness that is Kurokawa-sensei (VA: Mitsuki Saiga!) and the total hotness of a pissed off Aya!

… now only if the animation staff could be more consistent in quality…

Another “slice of life” anime series, Hachimitsu to Clover (Honey & Clover) follows the lives of three poor art college students Yuuta Takemoto, Shinobu Morita, and Shuuji Hanamoto as they deal with typical and not-so-typical college life. The lives of the three slowly but surely changes as they’re introduced to Hagumi Hanamoto, an lolicon looking 18 year old (yea right) who’s the daughter of a friend of Shuuji Hanamoto, their advisor of sorts. Watch, as the cast of Honey & Clover go through daily life while trying to cope and survive the thing called Real Life(TM) .

As is the case in most “slice of life” type series, the characters themselves are what drive and make the series a joy to watch. Honey & Clover is no exception as its down-to-earth and very quirky cast of characters easily puts the anime in my top three favorite series of the new season, along with Futakoi Alternative and Ichigo 100%. Along with its visuals, music, and vocal cast the series is without an doubt a must watch for all anime fans!
