A simple camping trip leads to the girls fighting for their lives in mock battle against professional soldiers!

You know Taishi is 100% to blame for the mess in this lovely episode of Comic Party Revolution where we find the world and skills of anime, manga, doujin, and cosplay can lead the way to victory in the deadly dance that is called war.

Kazuki is working on his next doujin when Mizuki pops out of nowhere. She tries to get Kazuki to actually go out for once but the next Comic Party is coming up so he needs to finish his work. Mizuki puts reality in Kazuki’s face as she notes that he’s starting to get pale from being all cooped up inside for so long. “Comic Party Comic Party Comic Party” Mizuki continues to complain to Kazuki as it’s not getting through to him. She leaves off with a smile/grin and next thing we know, everyone is going to the mountains!

Taishi is driving one of the cars as he goes explaining something involving the World Cup and Comic Party while Mizuki, Subaru, and Aya in the back are talking about what they’re going to do once they reach their location. Mizuki complains about doing something normal(?) and how did they all end up going camping instead. Taishi with his usual explanations with the trip being a special training session and involving taking over the world. Mizuki just sighs and looks at Kazuki, more or less pining him for why everything has gone wrong.

Everyone arrives at the camping spot only to find out they have no food! Mizuki ask if it’s really true that Taishi forgot about the food which he confirms as not forgetting, but just not doing since they’re there for special training… or something. Taishi has packed the most random of items instead like a PS2, PSOne, random Asahi CDs, etc. Taishi goes on to explain the so-called special training ending with Mizuki pissed and punching him into orbit. Taishi is seen orbiting the earth a bunch of times… The group seriously have zero food and are in a slight panic since the drive to the nearest town is a few hours. Taishi comes back from space (spacesuit and american flag included) to explain the situation, and much to the girls charging is not good as they unleash their wrath on him.

Next scene they’re driving back with a beaten and bandaged Taishi driving one car. Everyone looks disappointed as I think they bascially canceled the trip and are heading back home. Miyabi, driving the other car, notices they’re taking a different path than before as Kazuki asks Taishi about it. Are they lost? Of course not Taishi says, as he has a memory of where the town is and I think of just taking a different route… so yes, they are lost afterall. Somehow they end up back at the camping area, which confirms what Taishi thinks. They’re lost in an endless maze or gotten to the point where they don’t know which way is which. Yuu thinks he has got to be kidding as Taishi’s story is so childish but when she checks for cell service, there is none. Taishi has an “I told you so” moment which only pisses Mizuki more and one beating later the crew has to figure out what to do now.

GPS doesn’t work, so maybe if they just drive around again they’ll find the way back to civilization. Aya mentions that it probably won’t work since that’s how they got lost originally so they might get even more lost. Subaru comes to save the day saying a guy nearby knows how to get off the mountain. Some guy in army/paintball gear comes out from the forest… along with his “friends.” The girls are getting in gear with guns and headsets as the army guy narrates he can’t let them leave the area now since it’s secret, I think? Taishi comes back all in gear understanding the situation… basically challenges the group since they have no choice, even if everyone else doesn’t want to. Mizuki ask about the stakes, I think.. not really sure since I got lost in Taishi’s various speeches ^_^;; One point Reiko comments how can it really be a fight with such kiddy guns? Taishi explains how they’re like the latest in wargame technology… I think. At the end of explanation, a angred Mizuki comment it is a toy afterall! Kazuki notes that their opponents are pros, so won’t they have problems winning? Taishi reassures everyone… but it doesn’t sound reassuring at all. The army guys are ready to go as they play to enjoy the fun for a while or make Kazuki and co taste the reality of war…?

The game starts as the army guys are all pro, with one of the soldiers thinking there’s no way the others will win. As if reading the guy’s thoughts, Taishi comes back with a remark or some other but Mizuki bashes him; someone who acts so big even though he’s the first one out as no room to talk. Yes, Taishi is already out. Another soldier spots two of the girls ready to shoot them out when he notices something… instantly jumping up and revealing his hiding area shouting out “MOE!!!” Mizuki and Miyabi in cosplay easily shoots the guy out. Taishi goes to explain their strategy… the COSPLAY BARRIER! Mizuki idly comments about their plan (or name of it) as Miyabi says it’s a little embarrassing but she also wanted to try cosplaying once. All around the area other soldiers are going down thanks to the cosplay barrier with Taishi gloating over the great attack. Kazuki’s voice of “what great attack” panes the camera to show he’s out too. Taishi is surprised as Kazuki confirms of course he got shot… a crying Taishi says Kazuki is weak which Kazuki doesn’t want to hear from the guy who got out first!

Kazuki is a bit worry if the girls will be alright and win but Taishi, in his way, reassures Kazuki as the second strategy/weapon is about to start. Switch to the soldiers still “alive” when one of them notices a strange sound… it’s getting closer and closer… the Chisa Death Cart(TM) appears out of nowhere! As the soldiers try to shoot Chisa down, Taishi has explained the awesomeness of the Chisa Death Cart(TM). Just as one of the soldiers is about to be “killed” by Chisa, she overshoots the landing and continues her unstopable movement without any “kills.” Miyabi and Mizuki make some side comments about Chisa’s attack… and something about feeling relieved? Taishi with his usual antics… gets beaten up (again) by Mizuki and Miyabi. Kazuki welcomes Taishi back home at their out base. LOL

The leader of the army team has the girls in his scope remarking about the Cosplay Barrier being pretty fearful (for the opponents) however… he shoots Mizuki and Miyabi out without problem, surprising them and Taishi as they realize the cosplay barrier has been broken. The other members of the army already out tells of their leader and how something something I wasn’t sure about but could guess is why the barrier doesn’t work against him, is enabling him to easily take down Reiko, Yuu, Eimi, and Subaru (though seems like he does have some weakness in how Eimi & Subaru dress).

It’s starting to get late as everyone but one player on Kazuki and co’s team has been defeated. The army guys are slowly going through the area searching for the last one. Taishi comments how the army guys think they have won but now the true scary weapon is about to come out. The last four or so army guys are grouped together when suddenly one by one they’re getting taken out yet they can’t find the enemy anywhere. Taishi goes to explain their last weapon, Stealth Aya(TM) as we see Aya cloaking and de-cloaking making her way to finish off the rest of the opponents. One of the soldiers realize maybe it’s a stealth human… switch back to Taishi as he explains Aya’s “stealth” abilities ala her usual situation at Comic Party conventions ^_^;; Aya is once again re-cloaking as the remaining three soliders stay tight together. Taishi’s narration again as he ask if they can actually find Aya or not in that environment… the soldiers are starting to panic a bit as the pressure of knowing Aya is around yet not visible gets to them. Aya shoots another one out, freaking the remaining two. Another one goes down as it’s mpw Aya versus the army leader. He hears some sounds from the bushes thinking he’s got Aya, only to find an stuffed bunny instead. From Aya’s view point, she points her gun saying “I’ve got you” shooting the leader for the win! The leader is crestfallen, not believing he lost… some more Taishi narration I got lost on…

Taishi announces their victory with Mizuki commenting about the soldiers inability to win even though they’re professional (this was a wild guess on my part). The leader admits his team defeat, complimenting Aya as he never thought there’ll be an stealth person like her out there in the world. Yuu and Miyabi comment about the leader’s “compliment”, saying Aya can be angred at that if she wants… but she just wants them to keep their end of the promise. Everyone else now goes on about the soldiers keeping the promise in telling how to get back to town while the leader tries to remember said promise. Unfortunately for the girls, the leader basically says his group has been lost too so they don’t know a way out either! Mizuki puns the soldiers into orbit venting her frustations yelling they should have mentioned that earlier.

The same night, we catch up with Chisa who has finally stopped. She’s thanking some “onee-san” for stopping her or else she might be moving forever when Chisa realizes the “onee-san” is actually a statue! Chisa then takes in her surroundings, clueless to where she is. Chisa is actually back in the town that everyone else is trying to find… switch back to Kazuki and co still stuck on the mountain surrounding a camp fire. Either Yuu or Mizuki comments about it feeling like they’re missing someone with Taishi answering, only to piss Mizuki off for the 234th time ending the episode with him being punched into the sky again.

Comic Party Revolution is finally start to pick up again with another great episode. The whole mock battle was just great to watch, especially with such weapons as the Cosplay Barrier, Chisa Death Cart, and Stealth Aya!
