Can a down-to-earth superidol and self-proclaimed Queen of Comic Party become best of friends? Find out this episode of Comic Party Revolution as we follow the antics of Eimi and Asahi trying to become friends while breaking down the walls that separate them emotionally.

… or if anything else, at least watch how Asahi rocks the house at fighting games.

Eimi rocks the arcade center until the unknown challenger Asahi comes in to totally crush Eimi. Asahi almost gets out-ed in her disguise (lessons from Superman apparently) thanks to Eimi’s big mouth but one quick get away later, the two are safe. Eimi learns of Asahi’s fondness for fighting games during her inbetween time of voice acting; Asahi wants Eimi to keep it a secret though… one Eimi sized imagination of Asahi being “tortured” later, the two become friends. Asahi is somewhat hesitate but Eimi’s usual gun-ho personality wins her over as the two take a photo together via cell phone camera.

Following day has the two leading their usual lives as Eimi wants to do the things most friends do, including messaging each other via cellie. However, for the shy Asahi something as simple as talking is hard enough so to message one another… Eimi’s message rants of the daily grind of high school life… while waiting for Asahi’s message, Eimi shows off to Kazuki, Mizuki, Yuu, and the much depressed Taishi about her new friendship with Asahi. She receives Asahi’s message… which is really really short, much to Eimi’s charging. Kazuki and the others expected as much considering Asahi’s personality, but Eimi was hoping for more.

Eimi finds Asahi at the arcades and wants to spend the day with her. Going shopping… chatting… yelling “Bakarou” at the ocean… Asahi needs some convincing but Eimi wins out (funny at the same time Asahi wins against the guy she’s playing while “distracted”). The two are window shopping as Eimi points out clothing that she thinks would suit Asahi when the two are interrupted by more human looking otakus (compared to the norm). Eimi immediately thinks the two guys want her autograph since she is the great Eimi-chan-sama of Comic Party when in reality, the two want Asahi! Eimi tries to defend Asahi telling the guys to leave since the two are hanging out but the guys lash back saying Eimi is only being friends with Asahi since she’s famous. Eventually the girls jet before the guys have a chance to grab their paws on Asahi…

… elsewhere after putting some distance between them and the guys, Eimi-chan-sama isn’t happy! She’ll show those guys! Asahi just sighs the sigh of faith, knowing nothing good will come of it…

Next Comic Party, Asahi is with Eimi to help sell her latest doujinshi. Got a little lost here but from Eimi’s tears she must have worked her arse off or something (and in part to prove those guys from before wrong). Eimi talks about her future dreams and reasons why she’s in doujinshi… small talk about the reasons Asahi is an idol (made too adorable)… Comic Party starts with its usual fanfare, Eimi’s doujin popular as ever. Everything seems to be going fine until Eimi accidentally calls Asahi by name, surprising all her customers as they realize it is Asahi.. just with glasses. Chaos ensures.

Later on, Mizuki is treating Eimi’s injuries as there is a short recap of Miyabi cleaning up the chaos. Eimi is pretty sadden that now her doujin area is closed off, thereby killing any chances to sell her work this Comic Party. Some agrument between the group about Eimi and Asahi and being friends… Kazuki finds Asahi on top of the Comic Party convention building crying a bit… some Kazuki Cheer Up Speech(TM)… and Asahi feels a bit better now, thinking before she wrecked Eimi’s sales for the day. Eimi is back in her now closed off booth area thinking over about her friendship with Asahi… Asahi the same up on the roof… Eimi is about to message her when Asahi beats her to the punch… typical Aashi like response in the message, which has Eimi mad but still smiling nonetheless.

Asahi is at the beach, staring at the sunset when she hears Eimi yelling to the ocean “bakarou!” The two make up in their own awkard ways… Asahi is relieved that Eimi was able to sell the rest of her doujin thanks to Brothers-2 for sharing their space. Both notice that they’ve picked up some various doujinshi when at Comic Party. Eimi goes to give Asahi a copy of her latest work… Asahi points out Kazuki’s work also asking if Eimi happens to like anyone (since it is a topic friends usually talk about)… obviously both of them have some feelings for Kazuki but Eimi denies it of course Ends with Asahi and Eimi sharing a good laugh…

Not a bad episode overall as we learn more about Eimi’s and Asahi’s worlds. Definitely one of the more unique team pair-up that actually worked better than I ever thought. I definitely had a few laughs thanks to Eimi with how she handles things… especially with Asahi’s popularity being bigger than hers. hehe.

Next episode, the cursed doujinshi that can stop even the great Eimi-chan-sama from working!
