Gundam SEED Destiny 29
Wouldn’t be the Gundam SEED universe without 50+ recap episodes and this time around is no exception as we get to see what made Gilbert Durandal who he is today. Or how I like to think of it, the condensed version of Gundam SEED in 30 minutes or less.
Durandal plays a game of chess as he ponders the present, past, and future. Raww Le Kleuze and him were apparently good buddies discussing the point of mankind and their views on various things. Chibi Ray the Barrel is shown as its apparent that he was under the care of Raww before becoming attached to Durandal. Also got to see Durandal and Taria Gladis’s break up with what might have been one of just many reasons why Durandal is how he is now.
Definitely one of the better GS/GSD recap episodes but still in reality just a filler. Why Fukuda feels the need to have so many recap episodes per season as he already recaps via flashback PER EPISODE is beyond me but I hope this is the last one. =/

Episode 20 was Gundam Seed condensed into 25 minutes or less. At least with this episode, there was more new footage compared than episode 20 of a couple minutes.
