Shinn becomes a cocky son of a b*tch as Stellar becomes the pilot of Destroy Gundam, thereby starting the third major battle between the forces of ZAFT, EAF, and Archangel.
Hands of Fate
The multi-argument of who’s right and wrong. Shinn’s and Rey’s jail time allows for the two plus Athrun to try to see eye to eye with one another that only leads to total disagreement. Shinn’s view of doing what he believes is right no matter the consequences, Athrun’s “equal justice” view while following the rules, and Rey’s mostly Raww views on life all had their own valid points. Though I’ll tend to agree with Athrun if anything becuase of the future events that will soon take please making him the most “good” right. I did think it interesting in how each view represented each of the guy’s individualistic personalities and in a sense, they’re motto in life. Too bad their ideals clash too much for them to really get along…
Beside the jail time, the start of Shinn’s cockiness kicks in left off the hook completely. Sadly it allowed for his ego to get better while making feel just the more confident that he’s in the right and can do pretty damn anything he wants. Funny how Shinn doesn’t realize he’s obivously being saved by the chairman (and Rey to a degree) since he’s a valuable pawn. The new Shinn developing definitely feels like a “It’s my way or the highway” bastard that one just wants to punch for the hell of it!
Dependence
Downtime in the Archangel was enlightening between the Murrue and Kira family bond-like relationship-slash-advice corner. I was idly thinking Murrue was pulling a serious Usagi (from Sailor Moon) or Misato (from Evangelion) moment when she was talking to Kira making sure everything was alright with him. I almost expected a roug house sisterly hug from her too at one point!
Finally good to see Cagalli getting back in her groove when she was with the other ORB people. No longer questioning what to do or feeling totally dependent of others help, Cagalli’s ready to put on her pant and get some work done!
