M, I am making a conscious effort not to flame you right now.

Yes, the fightning rocks, but this Episode is PIVOTAL to the plot of Destiny, for the simple fact that events are set in motion, which will result in the events of 34. I shall say no more here, except that a relentless Shinn-hater like you is NOT going to like it.

I personally found Stellar to be an extremely interesting character, far moreso than, say, Cagalli, Lacus, or either of the Hawke Sisters…
Shinn is also, IMHO, not only a better pilot (as proven by 34), but a more interesting character than Kira, who is essentially Amuro Ray, but with better hair and a WAY cooler set of mechs.

And Rei Ayanami pwns Lunamaria any day of the week…

Shinn, I respect your opinions so I’d think you’ll respect mine right? Thanks for not flaming and hey, everyone has their opinions. Not like I’m trying to force my thoughts on anyone (heck, why people actually read what I write is still a mystery to me).

Yes, I’ll agree that this episode changes the fate of how GSD goes afterwards. I guess after re-watching to write the entry or just since it was so obvious how the episode would eventually play out, I didn’t care for it much. Too much cheese taken from other Gundam series that I couldn’t really enjoy this ep.

So I’m a Shinn-hater? wooohoo. I had hopes for Shinn in the beginnings but now, it so obviously predictable how things will play out it isn’t funny. Either Shinn goes all the way and becomes “evil” or somehow through some cheesy and very rushed events, he’ll see the “light” and realize he’s been played.

I don’t know about your take on Stellar. I can see how she could be interesting but she seriously didn’t have enough screentime to really mold out her character and backstory IMHO. She’s definitely more interesting than Lacus if anything else, but I think Cagalli, the Hawke sisters, and Meer are all at least of equal interest compared to Stellar.

Shinn is without an doubt an excellent pilot. No questions there. Better than Kira? That’s questionable since Kira does have more battle experience than Shinn and theoritically has an one-up since he’s supposedly the “Ultimate Coordinator.” To me, it’s a little hard to objectively compare the two in terms of better skills considering their different backrounds. Let’s just leave it that they’re both some of the top pilots in the GS/GSD universe k?

Shinn has more dynamics than Kira in terms of character, yes. And yes, Kira is for the most part a better cooler Amuro Ray. Like I mentioned before, I had high hopes for Shinn but now… his personality is going to the extreme. I really not sure how to describe it in words, but my gut feelings are currently of Shinn being about the same as everyone else in GS/GSD in terms of personality. (but just more apparent)

… and for the Rei and Lunamaria thing, I just gave an example tis all.

I wouldn’t necessarily say Shinn is a better pilot - he just takes advantage of Kira’s no-kill philosophy, which is a major handicap. If Kira was had no compunctions about that sort of thing, the results would probably be different (as we will soon find out in the coming episodes…). He’s definitely one of those unrealistically godly heroes who comes out on top in the end. Cheesy, for sure, but this isn’t exactly meant to be high-class fare. It’s a shame that Athrun always seems to get the short end of the stick in the second season though. I don’t know if the last minute Justice ass-kicking will make up for all the injustices he’s had to suffer!

As much as I’m not a fan of Stellar or Shinn, they do add a certain spice to the mix, otherwise GSD would just be too similar to GS. Having an extremely flawed (and idiotic) main character around is a nice contrast; now if only the writers would take another step and make him truly EVIL. Up to this point, he hasn’t actually killed any of the “good” main characters, which naturally opens him up for redemption and forgiveness in the future. Bugger to that, I say! Maybe if Lunamaria gets pregnant with twins and Shinn starts slaughtering innocents, then the chances of a happy ending would be practically nil (at least for all you Luna fans).

Yo, I hate Shinn and Stellar. They both need to go to fuckin’ hell. Shinn being a better character and pilot than Kira just fuckin’ pisses me off. I was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad Stellar died. Now I have to wait till the male lead grows old and dies. I also hate Lunamaria. What sorta fuckin’ name is that? Monn Sea? That’s fuckin’ stupid. I love GSD, but these new characters are really starting to tick me off ( except for Rey, he’s cool reminds me of Heero). Kira has gotta kill Shinn! Thats not gonna happen, but hey it doesn’t hurt to hope.

I agree, Stellar is a very pretty name…And I don’t think Shinn has forgotten Stellar - he IS TRYING to move on, as opposed to simply wallow in the fact that she(Stellar) is dead.

Incidentally, she was the only one of the six Extendeds (The 3 in each series) whom I liked. And it helps that Gaia was a pretty cool mech…

Inresting ep. but i did like that fact that Steallar finally dies! i mean she is really kinda over played in a sence(just a thougt i had) anyway can’t wait for the next ep and im looking forward to Athren getting some real face time. And as always great pic. Excellent work yet again.

I love this episode!!! Stellar dies YAY!!!! I hate her with all my life the psycho bitch! She also looks identical to cagalli but thats beside the point. Anyways i totally hated that shinn stellar scene but as long as shes dead i dont care n_n! I love Luna and her and shinn so belong together! Luna is actually a very strong willed person. I guess the only Characters i hate in SEED are lacus (plz no flaming) and stellar. I would have perfered to see kira and fllay together but she dead :”( And i dnt hate cagalli i just think atrun should be with meyrin seeing as she loves him a lot. Cagalli chooses her country over athrun which i think is so messed up but whatever. He still has Meyrin atleast!

Its the tragic moment of Phase 32. Its all Neo’s fault for piloting Stellar again. That idiot trying the same experience for a black MS Blitz Gundam like Nicol was sliced by Kira’s Sword Strike Gundam, so it might happen when Kira uses the beam saber for Freedom to stab on Destroy Gundam which Stellar pilots.

Like I remember during the times of Camille, Four, and Jerid from Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam.

I know this might sound gay but i think it would be cool if they had some kinda twist like with Stellar not really being dead it was a clone killed or something and he was under some sort of special house arrest for some reason.I really hope they have a third season where they could do this and develop the characters more.I hope Cagalli and Athrun get together and so do Kira and lacus they were my favorite couples along with Stellar and Shinn.

That was what i was thinking as well! Is’nt it like, Gundam tradition to bring back a person that is supposedly tragically dead. I don’t know about the Luna fans, but Stellar’s death was the sadest death in all of anime history, if you ask me. I still cry when i watch it. (Call me emo, i don’t care)
And Shelsea, remind me to never vote for you if you ever run for my country’s PM, cos you are clearly the type of person to abandon a whole country full of living people for a guy/girl. I glad to see you evne look down on responsible people like Cagalli. Ad btw, it wasn’t lke she didn’t try to inform Athrun about her decision.

its not porn. the naked parts were either covered by other body parts or as for stellar, the parts LOOKED naked but its too bright to see.
