Kaleido Star 48

Sora’s training in the Angel’s Act is almost complete but her unbalanced training in using high level acts in the past takes its toll on Sora’s body, specifically her inability to balance correctly. Sora being who she is, however, plows through the pain with brute willpower and strength not letting anything stop her from the Angel’s Act; even if its her own body! When Leon gives her the stop after they “complete” the Act, Sora is left confused knowing the Angel’s Act can’t be done yet. Against her body’s well-being, Sora continues training and with help from the Sora-gumi slowly fixes her balance problem while proving to Leon to continue training her.
Meanwhile, Layla is training in the Angel’s Act by herself for reasons unknown. Is she going to challenge Sora once more or…?

Sora basically overworks her body yet again while training in the Angel’s Act and against friends and doctor’s advice, pushes herself to the limit. Training like a mad woman, Sora works to perfect her balancing yet instead only makes it worse. Only through her willpower and desire to make a conflict-free stage does Sora get a hang on the “last” part of the Angel’s Act training: randomly being thrown onto various balancing beams. However the constant strain of balancing incorrectly only gives Sora limited balancing, something of which Leon notices and decides to ultimately call the training “finished.” Knowing the training can’t be done, Sora continues training only making things worse for her…
Sora meets limited success in continually performing the last leg of the training but worry from everyone else eventually forces her to rest a bit, especially after they find out just how damaged her feet have become. Yet against the wishes of her partner and friends to rest, Sora soon forces herself to train again. Luckily thanks to seeing an info-mercial starring Ana’s dad Jack, Ken finds some gear for Sora to not only train her balance but to do so without damaging her feet too much. Sora, as per the norm, gets the hang of balancing and tries to do so without the use of the balancing gear going back to the no-ripple-on-log-while-balancing training. It easily becomes apparent that Sora’s at her limit but she goes on, and even when Leon tries to stop her (including more backstory about his sister and the conflict-free stage fluff), Sora wins him over telling him what he was blinded too. Realizing his mistake and impressed with Sora’s will, Leon tells Sora they’ll continue her training once more.
Two other subplots I forgot to mention but are important to note are Layla’s secret training of the Angel’s Act and Rosetta fake-acting of not wanting to perform. Layla’s training in the Act hints at something more in the near future but in reality, in this episode, offers a way for the viewers to understand what Sora’s training is all about. Meanwhile the Rosetta fake act bit goes to show that while she say she doesn’t want to perform, yet watches everyone else practice, that she’s simply lying to herself. Ironically it’s May that notices this and tries to get the girl to just admit it to herself yet won’t.
Kaleido Star is nearing the end but some loose ends still need to be tied. What’s Layla’s true purpose for practicing the Angel’s Act by herself? Rosetta and May… possible buddies in performing? Will Sora and Leon make it in time to perform the True Angel’s Act? And of course, will the Angel’s Act (and becoming the True Kaleido Star) bring about a conflict-free stage just like Sophie and Sora have said over and over and over and over and over again?
For someone that’s suppose to be dead, Sophie sure makes enough appearances on the series. I mean seriously, does Leon need to be reminded of his promise to his dead sister EVERY EPISODE BY EVERY SINGLE PERSON?!
