life line by line

ShortStats has notified me that the blog has reached over 500k hits! Actually, it probably already happened the past summer since I installed the plugin around mid-June, but now is as good a time as any to celebrate right? I can also celebrate the one year anniversary of “life line by line” which passed a few weeks ago… I think.

Many thanks to all my readers out there! Without any of you all, doing the blog would be rather pointless. It’s thanks to you folks for visiting the site and leaving comments that keep me going. Plus it helps stroke my ego. And moy always likes his ego to be stroked

Many thanks to my anime blogging peers! I wouldn’t have a fifth of the traffic I do have without the others linking to my site. There’s honestly too many bloggers I can name to give my thanks to but I think they know who they are Just know I’m honored that I can be among your ranks!

Thanks to DarkMirage for the tidbit of D.C. II’s site being updated.

I have to say that Akane Hanasaki must be the Moe Mizukoshi of Da Capo II. Even looking at the other girls’ info currently avaliable for D.C. II , no one else “sticks out” as much as Akane does. I’m sorry, but those breasts are HUGE! And she’s suppose to be in high school?! Damn…

Akane Hanasaki must, or will eventually, have one hell of a back problem!

Great news thanks to Shingo:

According to Kodansha’s official site, xxxHOLiC will be animated as a TV series in 2006 (in addition to the recently released movie). Moon Phase speculates that it will have the same staff as Tsubasa Chronicle.

I’ve been dying for a xxxHolic animated TV series ever since it was announced Tsubasa Chronicle was going to be one, and it seems my wish has finally been granted. First it was the Fate/Stay Night anime, and now a xxxHolic TV series. 2006 just keeps getting better and better! I can’t wait to see what other great anime will be out next year!

Sad I have many recent blog status updates but very little anime-related ones. Anyway, let’s hope this is the last blog status update for awhile.

On a whim I changed the blog theme again, this time to Gemini Green. So far I’ve gotten good responses from the folks over at Matthew’s Shoutbox on the new layout. Since there are people who like the layout, the couple of hours spent at hacking at the theme code made it well worth it.

I had to get rid of fluff I didn’t need plus add in a bunch of other appearance options. I had to change how the bt releases links look, as they still give the newest release of five different bt sites, but now there’s no associated link to which site the releases are from. Of course, one can still just click on the “BT” link in the navigation header for all the recent releases from five of the most popular anime bt sites. Newest feature, which is similar to the one at Matthew’s, is any entry will now have a nice drop-down menu listing all posts in the same category. Now a visitor can easily going through all my entries on a given series without jumping through 10+ clicks!

The real point of this entry, however, is to donate my two link buttons to any that may want to use them. I used to have them on my sidebar but now with the current layout, I just can’t put them anywhere without messing up the feel of the page. I beg to all those that do read this, do not let the two link buttons go to waste! It’ll be a shame to let such cute banners die because of non-use!
