FAQ
I personally never like doing disclaimers but throughout the months I’ve been receiving various repeat comments that I feel I shouldn’t need to answer everytime. So without further ado:
- Where can I download x-series?
- Where do you get your images from?
- Where’s your gallery & will you be offering downloads in the future?
- How do you blog?
- If one hasn’t noticed, I’ve listed the top five or so places to download anime via the popular P2P client Bittorrent. Don’t constantly ask nor e-mail asking exactly where to download anime. If one checks other anime bloggers sites or search via google, there are plenty of tutorials on how to download anime via direct download (HTTP or FTP), IRC (personal pick), or BT. DO NOT ASK ME. I repeat, DO NOT ASK ME NOR LEAVE COMMENTS ASKING SUCH FAVORS.
For the real lazy, the best places to get anime are: animesuki, Tokyo Toshokan, Baka-Updates, l33t-raws, Project MAO, Saiyaman.net, and ton1x.net.
- Truthful, various places. Theoretically I’m actually illegally using 99% of the images I post (not necessarily counting the screenshots). If the original creator(s) of the various fanart images I use want me to either take down or give credit when credit is due, I’ll be more than please to do so. I really have no right to use other people’s works without permission but seeing as it’s usually hard to track down the original artist(s), I’ve done so with the knowledge it’ll bite me in the rear one day.
Once again, if any of the creators of the cute images I use throughout my blog wishes for credit (or to not use the image), please do contact me so we can sort out any issues.
- The huge Tenjo Tenge gallery I used to have is gone. Weird CPU usage spikes with the gallery forced me to do so, and in reality I was probably going to take it down eventually. People have been directly linking to the images off my server without so much as a “thank you” or credit to where they were hosted. And that pissed me off since I pay for my hosting and there’s no reason others should benefit without asking permission. It’s just common sense you know?
Also, I don’t plan to offer any direct downloads of wallpapers or songs for now. At least not to make it some constant service people should look forward to. I might do an occasional direct download of wallpapers I like or a song worth spreading to the anime masses, but always doing it for everyone? Nope.
- I blog either straight from RAWS or usually from subbed versions when available. How I choose which current anime series to blog is totally random and up to how I feel. I take suggestions but at the end, the choice is entirely up to me. So don’t expect me to blog popular series XXXXX when there are 5+ other bloggers already doing it. Also don’t expect me to blog that random show no one else is doing unless I actually like the series; there’s just no way anyone would blog an series they’re uninterested in.
I have zero formal training of the Japanese language. Whatever bits I can understand come from years of watching anime and of some of the language actually getting through my thick skull. Take my reviews and opinions with a grain of salt; especially on anime I watched raw. I’m probably completely off-target 75% of the time. If anything else, just look at all the pretty pictures I have throughout the blog. Seriously.
Any other questions or problems not answered by the disclaimer, one can contact me via e-mail, MAB’s shoutbox, PM on AnimeBlogger.net’s forums, or aim at moyism.
